English oak was used in the construction of this console table. The oak selected for the table top was of the pippy variety, the grain and knots giving wonderful character to the finished piece.

The table was designed to go against a curved wall in a cottage, hence the table itself follows this curve, even down to the drawer fronts.

Maple was used for the drawer box construction, and the drawers lined with a burgundy suede.
