Normally poplar burr has more of the brown burr spot elements, but the grouping of those spots on this veneer creates a wonderful ‘negative space’ in the grain pattern. Placing this ‘negative space’ on the top of the lid allows the burr spots to be wrapped around the jewellery box. 
 
Inside the jewellery box are two lift out storage trays, one with a 5x3 compartment configuration and the other a 3x3 configuration.
 
The trays and jewellery box are lined with an aubergine-coloured faux suede.
